It would be nice to say that we’ve arrived save and sound in Bangkok. It’s true in some sense… here I am, and I’m definitely safe and sound.

However, we had an adventurous trip, and we had to leave Angie at the Thai border because without Visa, she could not get in :-( This was quite a blow to our travel plans. Of course we had checked this possibility before. The Internet as well as the Thai embassy in Singapore had assured Angie that she did not need one. But what can one do against the authority? Now Angie is stuck in Poipet on the Cambodian border and will return to Phnom Penh tomorrow.

As for the trip, the first 150km through Cambodia were bumpy and dusty, on roads with no asphalt and usually at about 30km/h… but we did arrive :-) From the Thai border onwards, no more problems… and we met a lot of nice people.
