Omega VII

Quoting from our game design document:

The player will be immersed in a fully 3D outer space environment, surrounded by the beauty of stars, planets, asteroids, cosmic dust etc, and enjoys the freedom to move around the universe. While the planets slowly orbit around a star, spaceships of various factions engage in heavy battles with massive firepower. As the victors slowly emerging from the battle continue in their conquest of stellar resources, their fallen opponents explode and disappear into nothingness.

Sounds and looks nice, doesn’t it? Just give it a try, it’s completely free software. Omega VII runs under Windows XP and Vista, but also works well on my Linux box using Wine.
